Our formwork system

Seamless
lighting

Betonlicht opens up new possibilities for lighting design and individual architecture. Cast into the exposed concrete ceiling, it can function as a radiant focal point or exercise elegant restraint. We offer two formwork systems to produce either a contoured or a smooth surface.

To derive maximum benefits from this unconventional solution, please contact us during the design and planning phase so Betonlicht can be optimally integrated into the architecture. Should that not be possible, we can also respond quickly to last-minute enquiries and manufacture the formwork system you require. This system is then used by your contractor when concreting the walls or ceilings. The optionally contoured or smooth forming element and the housing for the luminaire are mounted on the formwork and cast directly into the reinforced concrete part. This seamless integration is the hallmark of the patented Betonlicht.

Custom forms that are perfectly tailored to your architectural concept are also possible on request. Talk to us about your idea – whether it’s concave, convex or cubic.
The purist aesthetics of exposed concrete are complemented by Betonlicht, a monolithic feature that redefines light. Tactile and visual elements form an impressive symbiosis that shapes the entirety of your interior spaces.

“Exposed concrete design concepts are just as diverse in terms of variability as daylight and artificial lighting. Liquid stone is transformed into a sophisticated and unique product that communicates the freedom and individuality of architecture through its raw beauty”.
(Albert Elmenreich, Architect)

The elegance of reduction showcases light in its most beautiful form. This is the idea behind Betonlicht:
